More Money For Liverpool From Philippe Coutinho Transfer As New Plan Emerges

More Money For Liverpool From Coutinho Transfer

Liverpool might have sold Philippe Coutinho back in 2018, but the Reds are still making money from the Brazilian.

Even more money is set to be made by the Reds from Coutinho now that Barcelona’s plan for the Brazilian has emerged.

Liverpool received £106million up front with the promise of a further £36m in add-ons.

The £36m was to be paid in installments every time the 28-year-old reached a milestone at Barca, like making 25 appearances or helping the club qualify for the Champions League.

The Anfield club have already received the vast majority of this transfer fee, but are still owed a further £4.4m from the Catalan giants.

Coutinho is just 15 Barca appearances away from triggering the final bonus, but up until now it wasn’t clear if he ever would.

The Brazilian spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich and his agent Kia Joorabchian recently confirmed that his client will be at Barcelona this coming season.

This means that Coutinho is almost certain to make a further 15 appearances for the Nou Camp outfit, meaning Liverpool will get their final £4.4m.
