Dele Alli had been offered up to Real Madrid by Tottenham as a makeweight in the deal for Gareth Bale, but Los Blancos decided they werenât interested.
Baleâs agent, Jonathan Barnett, confirmed on Tuesday that the player wants to return to Spurs this summer, saying: âGareth still loves Spurs. We are talking – Spurs, Real Madrid, and the playerâs camp.
â[Tottenham] is where he wants to be.â
Spurs have reportedly made an opening bid to Zinedine Zidaneâs side to sign Bale on a one-year loan with Madrid slapping a â¬20million [£18m] price tag on his head.
Madrid would have to subsidise a large portion of his £600,000-per-week wages in order for the deal to happen, but Spurs reportedly offered up Alli as a way of moving the transfer fee down.
