Union Saint-Gilloise manager, Karel Geraerts, has praised Nigerian striker Victor Boniface following his excellent performance against KV Oostende in a Belgian Pro League clash where he was named the Man Of The Match.
The 23-year-old did not find the back of the net but was outstanding and his brilliant efforts were noticed by Geraerts who heaped plaudits on the Nigerian.
“He (Boniface) performed well, particularly in the first half. He was really skilled with the ball, and he seemed to exude a lot of confidence to the other members of the squad, in my opinion,” Geraerts told Voetbalkran.
“It would have been good if he could have given himself a goal.
“This is the player I want to see play every week.
Geraerts also added that he hopes Boniface stays consistent for Union Saint-Gilloise.
“That may still be his working point, being a little inconsistent. He may benefit from playing like this every weekend if he can.
Boniface has scored 12 goals and made four assists in 26 appearances for Union Saint-Gilloise in all competitions in the 2022/23 season.
