Liverpool are now negotiating to make Mohamed Salah the highest-paid player in the club's history with a new four-year deal, according to reports.
The Egyptian winger is currently on a £200,000-a-week contract that runs until the summer of 2023.
Reds sporting director Michael Edwards is currently on a contract extension spree after renewing deals for the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker and Trent Alexander-Arnold this summer.
And according to The Athletic, Liverpool want to extend Salah's contract by a further two years until 2025 in a record-breaking deal for the Merseyside club.
The reported deal means the Reds winger would hold that contract until he is 33 years of age and would extend his Anfield career to eight years.
Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk is currently the Reds best earner on a reported £220,000-a-week deal.
