The 22-year-old has been in sensational form for Bayer Leverkusen in his first season, notching 10 goals and three assists across all competitions.

It's important to point out that Boniface not only won the Rookie of the Month award in August, he was also named Bundesliga Player of the Month, beating players like Harry Kane and Kevin Behrens.

How does it work?
In order to qualify for Rookie of the Month, a player has to be under 23 years old at the start of the new Bundesliga campaign; he must also not have started a Bundesliga match in previous seasons.
