Tottenham chairman Levy is very well known for his penchant to reward his players and managers for performing well, and given the Spurs’ position when Mourinho took the job te manager would deserve his bonus if he can keep the Lilywhites among European football's elite.

The recent spate of injuries affecting Spurs, star striker Harry Kane especially, makes the task of climbing the table significantly harder.

But Mourinho has already signed Gedson Fernandes from Benfica in the hope of strengthening his squad this month.
