3 reasons Ronaldo and Lukaku are favourite to win EPL Golden Boot

Manchester United and Chelsea lead the race for the EPL title thanks to the form of new signings Cristiano Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku who have been in fine form in front of goals for their respective clubs.

Both superstars were on the score sheet at the weekend as both EPL powerhouse defeated Newcastle United and Aston Villa respectively.

Ronaldo scored twice against Newcastle United, the same as Lukaku who scored a brace to inspire Chelsea to a 3-0 win at home.

Premier League Top Scorers: Ronaldo & Lukaku ready for Round 2?

Both attacking stars are setting the EPL into flame and expect them to lead their side quest for the title with more goals to come for their clubs.

On the note we at Goalballlive.com under list three (3) reasons why these two forwards would finish as the Golden ball winner in the Premier League this season.

They are world-class players

The talent of Ronaldo and Lukaku has brought them to the forefront in world football even as we've witnessed great success from both pairs on the international level.

Ronaldo has been in imperial forms scoring for Portugal countless times like he’s done on the international break.

The same can be said of Lukaku whose physicality has been a huge task for his opposition to cope within 50-50 situations.

They've made their mark in the world game and their consistency has been proven beyond doubt as the case may be.

Just as they say form is temporal but class is permanent (undeniable), such as the case of both Ronaldo and Lukaku as they continue to bang in goals for their respective club (Manchester United and Chelsea) along in the season in earnest.

Premier League Antecedent

The two of them may have moved from Italian giants Juve and Inter in the summer but there is no question about their adaptation to the EPL system.

They’ve got a massive understanding of the Premier League and on that note have readily adjusted to life with ease in the EPL.

So despite their return to English football recently, they are primed to become a huge success story for their clubs even as they carry their side major hopes in the season.

That’s what they are already doing as they have already hit the ground running with a brace of their own at the weekend.

Players Fear-Factor

The nature of their profile makes them be feared by the opposing defenders.

They’ve got a huge reputation as attacking players and their name alone can draw respect from the opposition.

This could also see players amidst their teammates having the confidence to supply them with the required ball upfront.

While their presence alone in the team can give their side the confidence to get the job done with relative ease on the pitch.

Their fear factor will give them the real edge to thrive in England as they will also draw interest from the opposing side and managers who could lose sleep planning on how to stop them from performing against their team during games.
