Paris Saint-Germain were beaten 1-0 by Bayern Munich in the final on Sunday night, leaving the French side heartbroken.
That heartbreak could be seen immediately in Neymar who broke down in tears and was consoled by Bayern Munich’s David Alaba on the final whistle.
The world’s most expensive player then had to be persuaded to go up and collect his runners-up medal and he sat on the PSG bench inconsolable.
But when the Brazilian had finally wiped away his tears, he took to social media to send a tweet.
However, perhaps he still had tears in his eyes because he made a pretty awkward mistake.
Neymar wrote: “Losing is part of the sport, we try everything, we fight until the end. Thank you for the support and affection of each one of you and CONGRATULATIONS to BAYER.”
A lovely message but BAYER?
Does Neymar know he’s just lost to BAYERN and not BAYER?
It was probably just a typo but that didn’t stop Bayer Leverkusen from getting in on the act.

They swiftly replied: “Obrigado @neymarjr. I’m not sure why you congratulate me if I'm on vacation playing FIFA … but thanks.”
