Captain of the Super Eagles, Ahmed Musa got his 4th assist in the Saudi Arabia Premier League season when he set up Al-Nassr’s only goal in their hard-fought 1-0 win at Al-Ettifaq.
Musa lined up for the 7th time this season with the visitors hoping to stretch their unbeaten run to 9 games having last tasted defeat in November.
After a difficult first 25 minutes, the visitors had to turn to their bench in the first half when Naif Almas came on for the injured Omar Hawsawi with Al-Nassr forced to make a switch in their formation.
The move, however, went on to pave way for the opening goal when the ever-lively Musa dazzled his way past he marker on the flanks before unselfishly squaring up for Hamdallah with the Moroccan tapping home from close range to make it 1-0.
The hosts then responded when they made three quick-fire substitutions in the second half but Al-Nassr stood their ground to momentarily move up to number one on the log after earning their 10th win of the campaign.
