Arsenal vs. Chelsea: How Chelsea could line up against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium

Chelsea could hand new signing Romelu Lukaku his debut on Sunday as the Blues trade tackles with Arsenal at the Emirates Arena.

The Belgian has returned to Chelsea in a record fee in the region of £97.5m deal from the Italian side Inter Milan.

However, he was not ready to play a part against Crystal Palace due to some quarantine measures. Thomas Tuchel would hope to have him available for the Emirates showdown.

Lukaku's availability could be a source of worry for Timo Werner, with the striker likely to take his spot on the bench as the Belgian leads the attack with support coming from the Mason Mount and Kai Havertz.

However, Christian Pulisic is ruled out of the fixture after testing positive for Coronavirus. On a good note, N'Golo Kante could feature after overcoming his ankle injury.

And he could take Mateo Kovacic's place in the side to partner Jorginho in midfield. Full-back Ben Chilwell and Reece James was on the bench as their Spanish colleagues Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta starred against Patrick Viera's Crystal Palace last week.

And the blues boss is unlikely to drop any of them, more with Alonso's superb free-kick which opened the scoring for Chelsea at home.

Emerson Palmieri would not be available after completing his loan move to the French side Olympic Lyonnais.

22years old Trevoh Chalobah could edge Thiago Silva out of the line-up for now after scoring his first goal for Chelsea against Crystal Palace in some style.

Hakim Ziyech has a chance to return following the shoulder problem he coped against Villarreal in the Super Cup match, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek recovers from COVID-19 infection to be available for selection.

Chelsea possible starting lineup:

Edouard Mendy; Trevoh Chalobah, Andreas Christensen, Antonia Rudiger; Cesar Azpilicueta, Jorginho, N'Golo Kante, Marcos Alonso; Mason Mount, Kai Havertz; Romelu Lukaku.
