Arsenal youth team striker Folarin Balogun Hits Hat-trick

Arsenal youth team striker, Folarin Balogun on Saturday struck a hat-trick to help The Gunners’ kids stomp a 4-2 win against Reading in a U18 Premier League fixture.

The 17-year-old gave The Gunners the lead in the 24th minute and, though Michael Olise’s goal three minutes before the end of the half pulled Reading level, Arsenal went back in front two minutes after half-time through Stan Flaherty.

Balogun then made it 3-1 in the 64th minute and struck the ‘assurance’ fourth goal for his side in the 77th minute.

While Balogun played the full match, fellow-Nigerian-born youngster, Ryan Alebiousu was substituted six minutes to the final whistle, but kid goalkeeper, Arthur Okonkwo was on the bench all through the game.

Balogun, who has played for England and United States youth teams, is the current top scorer in the U18 English Premier League South with eight goals from six games.
