Cristiano Ronaldo has tested positive for coronavirus while on international duty with Portugal and Bruno Fernandes could be forced to go into quarantine for two weeks.
The 26-year-old must have no doubt came into contact with Ronaldo, despite the fact that he has returned a negative test.
It would see Fernandes miss some crucial matches for Manchester United.
The first would be this weekend, where the Red Devils travel to Newcastle in a bid to reverse their recent club fortunes.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were thrashed 6-1 by Tottenham prior to the international break and will be itching to claim three points.
Just three days after that, United kick off their Champions League campaign against Paris St-Germain in a mighty clash.
And following on, a Premier League match-up against Chelsea – two sides vying to finish in the top four in a competitive year.
Fernandes would miss all three should he be made to go into quarantine but could return for the next match.
