Cape Verde Will Fall At Home To Super Eagles – Ikpeba

Former Nigerian forward, Victor Ikpeba has disclosed that the Super Eagles will overcome the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Estádio da Várzea on Tuesday.

He made this known on the backdrop of some key players that will miss the game due to the fact that Cape Verde has been labelled as Covid-19 red zone for players playing in the United Kingdom (UK).

Some of the affected players are Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Joe Aribo, Oghenekaro Etebo, and Wilfred Ndidi.

Speaking as a guest in Supersports' Monday Night Football Show, the former Atlanta Olympic gold medalist, stated that with the caliber of players at Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr's disposal, Nigeria can win the game against Cape Verde.

“Against Cape Verde I expect it to be tough. with our key players not been involved, that's my worry. But with what we have, we can still be a threat.

“That's why the team must have a complete depth. I am so positive about this team, I am not negative about it.”
