The Chelsea Megastore appears to have jumped the gun and posted all the new shirt numbers for next season!
There aren’t too many surprises though.
Willian, as he himself claimed, will take the No.10 shirt. Callum Hudson-Odoi will stay with the No.20, just as last season.
Taking Willian’s vacated No.22 will be Christian Pulisic, which was his number at Borussia Dortmund as well.
Pulisic had worn No.24 during the preseason, but Chelsea made it very clear that it was only a temporary arrangement.
Mason Mount will stay with the No.19 as in preseason, as will Tammy Abraham with the (in)famous No.9. Andreas Christensen meanwhile has switched to the No.4 from No.27.
People who are missing in the Megastore at the moment include Kenedy, Bakayoko, and Zouma, which in the latter’s case is probably nothing more than an oversight.
Big Happy has been wearing the No.15 in preseason. There’s also no Reece James in the list, but that will undoubtedly be fixed as soon as he’s back in training.
