Chelsea chief Roman Abramovich is set to turn to Juventus hero Massimiliano Allegri to replace Frank Lampard this season.
The former Juventus boss has been out of work since leaving the Serie A giants, after winning eight titles on the spin.
According to Italian outlet Quotidano Sportivo, the Blues chief wants to win' and will have no problem axing Lampard if performances aren't up to scratch after a summer of spending.
Lampard has already been handed the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner this summer, with Chelsea outspending their Premier League rivals by a considerable amount.
And a source has told Football Insider that Abramovich wants to see a big improvement this season after plumping up so much cash for big-name arrivals at Stamford Bridge.
A Champions League spot and a cup final represents a solid season for Lampard, who only took over last summer.
However, Chelsea conceded an enormous amount of goals and lost 12 Premier League games in total.
