Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze is now the most outstanding Nigeria star in the UEFA Europa League.
Chukwueze’s club Villarreal CF set up a semifinal matchup against Arsenal after they eliminated Dinamo Zagreb in the competition.
The 21-year-old ‘Samu’ now has 3646 points in the official Europa League Ranking.
On Thursday night, he was unlucky not to get a goal after he twice hit the post as Villarreal beat Dinamo Zagreb 2-1 to qualify for the semifinal against Arsenal.
Villarreal will host the semifinal first leg on April 29 with the return leg at Arsenal on May 6.
Peter Olayinka, who was a major injury doubt to feature against Arsenal in the quarterfinal return leg, eventually played, but his club Slavia Praha were beaten 4-0 at home to go out 5-1 on aggregate.
He now has 2762 points to be the second most ranked Nigeria star in the ratings.
