Club Brugge 1-1 Man Utd: Ighalo, Emmanuel Dennis Shine For Their Club

Manchester United resumed their bid for Europa League glory when they faced Club Brugge in the first leg of their last-32 tie tonight.

Ex-Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, has made his Europa League debut against Club Brugge on Thursday when he replaced Anthony Martial in the 67th minute.

Club Brugge grabbed an early lead as they caught the United defence napping with a long ball over the top which saw Emmanuel Dennis lob Romero after 15 minutes.

Simon Mignolet hit a long goal kick which caught out the United backline and Dennis was first to the ball before lobbing the advancing Romero.

United were level 10 minutes before the break when Anthony Martial stole the ball at a home throw. The forward then beat the last defender before slotting home to draw United level at 1-1.

Former Liverpool keeper Mignolet prevented Martial adding to United's tally as he finger-tipped a low shot on to the post just before the break as the first half ended 1-1.

The former Watford forward joined the Red Devils on a short-term loan deal from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua in January.
