Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes scored twice in his sides 4-1 win over Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday, a performance which clearly impressed Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Juventus star was clearly impressed and dropped a like on his Portugal team-mate’s Instagram picture to give his seal of approval.
Fernandes first opened scoring with a superb half-volley after seven minutes.
And 12 minutes later the midfielder doubled their lead, capitalising on a mistake from Turkish goalkeeper Mert Gunok and sweeping the ball into an empty net.
He later gave up the chance to register his hat-trick from the penalty spot, instead allowing Marcus Rashford to extend his impressive goalscoring run in the Champions League and make it 3-0.
Denis Turuc eventually pulled one back for the visitors, only for Daniel James to add a fourth for United in stoppage time.
The Portugal captain was also in action on Tuesday night, getting on the scoresheet in a 2-1 win for Juve over Ferencvaros.

But the Ballon d’Or great was clearly pleased to see compatriot Fernandes inspire his former club to victory, delivering a rare like on his post-match Instagram post.
