David Beckham's MLS side are reportedly exploring the option of landing Manchester United’s goalkeeper Sergio Romero.
However, salary caps in the American league could cause problems.
The World Cup runner-up is thought to be on around £100,000 per week and that may be too much for Inter Miami to stump up.
According to The Athletic, an unnamed Spanish club want to take Romero on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Argentine's Manchester United contract expires in six months – although the club do have the option to extend his deal by a further year.
However, the stopper’s time at Old Trafford looks set to come to an end and he is desperate to leave.
The 33-year-old has not featured for United since the Europa League quarter-final win over Copenhagen in August.
Romero, who joined the club from Sampdoria in 2015, hoped to leave in the summer transfer window after being left out of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squads for the 2020-21 season.
