Nigerian midfielder, Alex Iwobi returned to action in Everton's loss to West Ham at Goodison Park on Sunday as the Toffees lost by a lone goal to the Hammers from London.
It will be recalled that the former Arsenal man missed Everton's last Premier League match, as well as the Super Eagles, double header with Central African Republic through injury.
Alex Iwobi, 25, looked dangerous and should have put the hosts ahead just before the half-hour mark, but could only slice through the ball when Demarai Gray teed him up for a six-yard tap-in.
Shortly after that miss, Iwobi squandered another opportunity that could've handed Rafa Benitez's men the needed lead following a cross from Abdoulaye Doucoure.
And some minutes before half time, he sent another dangerous left-foot cross which was tipped away to safety by West Ham's goalkeeper.
After many missed chances by the hosts, it was Angelo Ogbonna's header that broke the deadlock with just sixteen minutes left to play, the goal ended Everton's hundred percent home record this season and moved The Hammers above Everton on the log.
Everton are now placed seventh after the loss and will look to return to winning ways when they host Watford next weekend.
