Fabinho Expected Return Date Emerges After Hamstring Injury

Liverpool star Fabinho looks set to return after the international break, following his hamstring injury.

The 27-year-old was forced off in the 2-0 win over FC Midtjylland in the Champions League a week ago as Liverpool's centre-back crisis deepened.

Fabinho had been filling in for Virgil van Dijk at the heart of defence, following the news that he required knee surgery.

Luckily for Jurgen Klopp’s side, Fabinho’s injury does not seem as bad as first feared.

According to The Athletic, the Brazilian is in line to return after the upcoming international break.

Liverpool reporter James Pearce said on the Red Agenda Podcast: “I think he’ll be back straight after the international break. That’s the hope.

“Brazil were informed that he wouldn’t be fit enough to go away on international duty.

“Klopp seemed pretty hopeful last week that he’d be able to use the international break to regain full fitness, so not as bad as initially feared.”
