Manchester United are reportedly no longer interested in Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils would prefer to sign a centre-back and centre-forward at the end of the season instead.
So will now take a look at the four players who benefit from their new decision.
Daniel James
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hailed the Wales international after victory over Newcastle on Sunday, insisting he never ‘disappeared’ and has been grafting hard behind the scenes. So, given Sancho and James play in the same area, the United star will likely get more minutes without the Dortmund star around.
Mason Greenwood
Back in the summer, it was assumed Sancho would oust the England international from United’s starting XI. But with the Dortmund star not looking likely to move to Old Trafford, Greenwood will likely continue to start most matches.
Amad
Amad plays on both flanks and would have likely found it hard battling with Sancho for a starting berth. But, now, the youngster’s pathway to the first team is considerably clearer without the Dortmund star in the picture.
Facundo Pellistri
United have since decided to loan him out to Deportivo Alaves. If Pellistri had returned to Old Trafford at the end of the season and found Sancho there, he could have been forgiven for feeling pessimistic. But with United changing focus, that works in his favour.
