Ex-Super Eagles midfielder, Friday Ekpo has reacted to the news making the rounds on the inclusion of Chelsea's striker Tammy Abraham in the Super Eagles.
Ekpo opines that should Rohr include the Chelsea star to his team then he should equally give the Nigeria Professional Leagues players an equal chance to showcase their skill in the national team.
“I don't have a problem with Rohr and the NFF trying to persuade Tammy Abraham to play for Nigeria, but they should not forget to give our local stars a chance to shine too, Ekpo told GoalBall.
“Remember that it was a local-based player in the person of Sunday Mbah, that gave Nigeria the winning and only goal that gave Nigeria the 2013 AFCON title.
“Rohr should this time around grant our NPFL players a quota in his team selection.”
Abraham has been in the news of recent with believes that Rohr and the NFF President Amaju Pinnick are in talks with the player to get him to switch allegiance to Nigeria.
