After falling behind in the 79th minute from a penalty, Tom Saintfiet's men levelled the scores at the death with Musa Barrow converting from 12 yards as well.

Gambia have exceeded expectations and sit at the top of their group with four points from two games.

Should the Scorpions avoid defeat on Thursday, they will secure automatic qualification to the knockout stages in their very first appearance in the African Cup of Nations.

Noah Sonko Sundberg who came off injured against Mali is expected to miss Thursday's game and should be replaced by Saidy Janko in the starting XI.

Tunisia

Tunisia were beaten 1-0 by Mali in their opening game before going on to beat Mauritania 4-0 in their second game.

Hamza Mathlouthi and Wahbi Khazri gave the Tunisians a two-goal lead nine minutes into the contest before the latter and Seifeddine Jaziri contributed two more goals to add more gloss to the scoreline.

The Eagles of Carthage could easily have scored more goals but squandered a lot of chances most notably a misplaced penalty kick from Youssef Msakni at the death.

Tunisia sit third in the group table with three points and will be looking to pick up back-to-back wins to see them guarantee safe passage to the last 16 of the tournament.

Seifeddine Jaziri sustained an injury just five minutes after scoring his side's fourth goal on Sunday and is now expected to miss out on the Gambia clash.

All other players are fit and available for selection to manager Mondher Kebaier.
