Our Ghana Premier League predictions look at the probable outcomes in the 2023/24 BetPawa Premier League ahead of the big kick-off on Friday, 15th September.
After a 3-month break, BetPawa Premier League teams in Ghana are now gearing up for a showdown in what is expected to be a season of surprises.
Medeama won the BetPawa Ghana Premier League last season.
But the question is, can Medeama defend the coveted title given that it was their first time lifting the trophy?
What are the surprises to expect in the new season? Will Aduana Stars edge closer to the crown after missing it by only 5 points last season?
Aduana Stars were the victors in the 2019/20 season but have only finished in the top two once in the subsequent seasons.
Will Medeama retain their crown in the 2023/24 season?
The start of a new season always begins with the big question. Will the reigning champions defend their crown?

In our Ghana Premier League predictions, we note that prior to winning the league in the 2022/23 season, Medeama finished second in the 2021/22 season.
With that, you can say the reigning Ghana Premier League champions were prepared for something bigger, which they achieved in the 2022/23 season.
Medeama steadily climbed the rankings starting from 6th in 2019/20, finished 5th in the 2020/21 season and were 2nd in 2021/22.
The good progress over the years have cumulatively been a launchpad for their most recent success.
Medeama are through to the next round of the CAF Champions League after edging out Remo Stars of Nigeria in the preliminary stages of the contest.
The reigning champions face Horoya in the next qualification round of the CAF Champions League on 17th September before playing the opening round of the BetPawa Ghana Premier League on 20th September.
Ghana Premier League predictions by Goalball Live
The 2023/23 Ghana Premier season will see several teams faceoff on the first matchday.
For a start ahead of the campaign, here are some of the top Ghana Premier League predictions for the upcoming season:
Medeama are top three contenders
It is the first time that Medeama are at the top at the beginning of a new campaign.
So, the question is will they live up to a more demanding season given that they will play at the continental stage in the CAF Champions League while also trying to defend their 2023/24 crown?
In all fairness and bearing in mind the fact that Medeama have been consistently improving in the last four seasons, they should at least finish 2nd or 3rd should they fail to defend the crown.
Medeama will host Accra Lions FC in a season opener on the 20th of September. They have hosted the visitors twice and won both games, scoring two goals in each case.
With that, we expect Medeama to kick off the campaign with a strong winning signal given the massive support they expect on matchday 1.
Asante Kotoko could bag their 25th crown in the Premier League 2023/24 season
In another Ghana Premier League prediction, we expect Asante Kotoko to go for the big prize.
Kotoko holds the most crowns in the domestic competition ahead of this 68th season of the Ghana Premier League, so are undoubtedly huge favourites in the 2023/24 season.

Asante Kotoko finished 4th last season with 52 points, 8 points behind champions Medeama.
Kotoko won the Ghana Premier League title in the 2021/22 season with 67 points, behind whom were Medeama with 56 points. They have failed to make the top three once in the last four seasons.
Nations FC are is the promoted outfit to watch in Ghana Premier League 2023/24 season
Three newcomers will feature in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
They are Nations FC, Bofoakwa Tano FC, and Heart of Lions FC.
However, looking at how each of the three promoted outfits performed in their respective divisions, Nations FC had a great campaign.
With that, our next Ghana Premier League prediction is a bet on Nations FC to remain in the top flight at the end of the new season.
