Ghazl El-Mahalla Terminate Nigerian Attacker’s Contract

Egyptian Premier League side Ghazl El-Mahalla have terminated the contract of Odo Moses a few weeks after sanctioning the Nigerian attacker for indiscipline.

The Nigerian joined Ghazl El-Mahalla earlier in January following a mixed spell with fellow Egyptian club Misr El-Makkasa, signing a two-year contract.

But things didn’t go well for the player recently when he, alongside a fellow Nigeria, Emmanuel Agbettor, ran into trouble at the club for various financial infractions.

While Moses was suspended for a financial dispute, Agbettor was sanctioned for a training bust-up with teammate Mahmoud Salah.

According to Kingfut, Ghazl El-Mahalla has now decided to terminate the contract of Moses, which would have ran into the summer of 2022.

The 27-year-old moved to Egypt in July 2018 to join then-Premier League side Haras El-Hodood from Nigerian club Real Sapphire FC.

Moses endured a less than fantastic time at El-Makkasa, scoring just three goals in 18 games, but he did enough to convince newly-promoted Ghazl El-Mahalla to offer him a lucrative two-year deal.
