Harry Maguire has been left out of the Manchester United squad for their Champions League opener against Paris Saint-Germain.
And the England international has spoken of his disappointment that he won't be able to play in Red Devils’ first Champions League game of the season.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been forced to make some big changes to his squad for the tough Champions League opener against PSG tonight.
Maguire has been reportedly struggling with a small muscular tear.
The issue is deemed worse enough to rule him out of the game against PSG with question marks on whether he could return for the game against Chelsea at the weekend.
But the Man Utd skipper insists he will putting in the work to ensure he's back sooner rather than later.
“Disappointed to miss tomorrow’s game through injury,” he wrote on Instagram.
“I’ll be working hard to get back fit ASAP.
“The start of our #ChampionsLeague campaign #MUFC.”
Eric Bailly is expected to deputise for Maguire alongside Victor Lindelof.
But Solskjaer revealed on Monday that Bruno Fernandes would be given the armband.
