According to The Nation, Joshua, 57, died in Lagos on Saturday after concluding a church programme.
And Azeez has described him as a ‘very good man’ who was generous.
Azeez said: “In 2012, my coach jokingly told TB JOSHUA he doesn’t have a car, he travelled that night to Dubai, I was to join the team few days later because of my passport issues, the man of GOD gave me 3k dollars to deliver…
“Those years, after every COPA Lagos tournament, he prays for us, congratulate us and gift each player a bag of rice and cash reward, TB JOSHUA is/was a very good man
“I couldn’t join my team mates in Dubai bcos my passport was seized and about to be destroyed at the Italian embassy,
“TB JOSHUA sent his PA to make one call, I got my passport the next day, baba bought anoda ticket for me, gave me money, used his escort to take me to d airport”.
