Ighalo, Others, Pay Tribute To Kobe Bryant

Ex-Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo has joined other sports stars to pay tribute to basketball legend Kobe Bryant who was involved in a helicopter crash and died along with nine others including his daughter.

Reports have it that the former LA Lakers star was travelling in a private helicopter along with his daughter for an AAU basketball game on Sunday morning.

Los Angeles Sheriff, Alex Villanueva, spoke on the crash and revealed that there were nine people on board as against the initial five that was reported.

Condolences have been pouring in from fellow sports stars and celebrities to the former Lakers star.

Among them is former Nigerian International, Odion Ighalo who took to his Twitter handle to express his sadness over the death of Bryant and his daughter.

In a follow-up tweet, Ighalo also used the moment to tell his followers to always appreciate life every day, saying: “waking up every day is a testimony we take for granted”

Aside from Ighalo, other football stars also paid tribute to the NBA legend. Among them is Brazilian star Neymar Jnr, who celebrated his goal against Lille by paying respect to the 41-year-old.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe, Ronaldinho, Liverpool, and other Premier League sides also paid tribute to the five-time NBA Champion and his daughter.

Bryant is survived by his wife, Vanessa Laine Bryant and three children.
