Jadon Sancho withdraws from England squad through injury

Manchester United's Jadon Sancho pulled out of Gareth Southgate's England squad after sustaining a minor knock in training.

The 21-year old couldn't make the Three Lions bench when England faced Hungary on Thursday night due to the injure he picked up prior to the match.

It has been announced on Saturday that Sancho has now been withdrawn from the England squad, which means the 21-year-old will return to Manchester United's Carrington training ground to continue his rehabilitation.

The knock isn't thought to be serious and he's expected to make a quick recovery.

The news of Sancho's knock is the latest setback in his fledgling United career since his £72.9m transfer from Borussia Dortmund.

He made his United debut against Southampton from the bench and made his full debut in United's 1-0 over Wolves.
