Mason Mount became the youngest player (at 22) to captain Chelsea since John Terry, who was given the honour as a 21-year-old.
Luckily for the England international, his first experience of leading the Blues was a memorable one as Chelsea won Luton Town 3-1 in FA Cup, thanks to Tammy Abraham's hat-trick to set up a fifth-round tie against Barnsley.
Taking to social media after captaining Chelsea for the first time, Mount wrote:
“Captaining the club I’ve been at since the age of 6, no words can describe the emotion and immense pride!,” he wrote on Instagram.
To which Terry responded with a classy four-word message.
“Buzzing for you mate,” the Chelsea legend wrote which was accompanied with a ‘c' emoji to perhaps reflect that Mount was captain against Luton.

Captaining Chelsea could become a regular occurrence for Mount in the future as hinted at by the Club's head coach Frank Lampard.
