Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed when he will leave Anfield and return to his native Germany.
The 53-year-old has masterminded Liverpool's first ever Premier League title win this season, five years after he was first appointed manager.
Klopp signed a new deal with the Reds last December which extends his stay until 2024 and the former Borussia Dortmund boss has claimed he will leave when his contract expires.
Speaking to German publication SWR Sport, Klopp was asked whether he will return to Germany and replied: “Definitely to live, after my career. Most likely even to Mainz”.
When pushed on how long he intends to stay at Anfield, he simply responded: “Four years in Liverpool.”
Klopp revealed he wants to then “do nothing for a year”, adding: “In five years the world can look very different again.”
He has previously outlined his intention to take a sabbatical after Liverpool, telling Kicker magazine prior to signing his extension: “I have absolute energy.
“But I have one problem. I can't do ‘a little bit'. I can only do ‘all or nothing'. When I decide that I cannot do it any longer then I will take a break for a year.
“After that year a decision must then be taken. But chances are very high that my energy level will then be there once more and that I can then do the job the way I want to.”
It comes after former Liverpool star Steve McManaman tipped Klopp to take over at Bayern Munich one day, telling Daily Star Sport : “I think he really adores Liverpool and the Premier League.

“But you could see him going back to Germany and managing Bayern Munich. The way that club is run – and the way German managers are treated there – you wouldn't rule it out.”
