GoalBall Live makes a Kenya Premier League prediction and looks at the probable outcomes in the 2023/24 season, especially the league standings, likely winners of the title and the surprises to expect.
Gor Mahia were top of the league last season to win their 20th title in the domestic competition.
And even though a twist in the CAF Champions League placement was a huge disappointment, the historic run sealed a crucial milestone for Gor Mahia's history in the history of the FKF Kenya Premier League.
Will Gor Kogalo claim their 21st crown or lose the momentum to relentless Tusker FC?
Tusker FC won the Kenya Premier League title in 2021/20, so no doubt they will be keen to reclaim their glory in the 2023/24 season.
Gor Mahia hopeful for a return to the CAF Champions League
With CAF Champions League fixtures set to start on 18th August 2023 and Gor Mahia out of the picture despite finishing top of the standings last season, it would be interesting to see how they perform this season.
It means Gor Kogalo will only have one competition to focus on, which is the FKF Kenya Premier League.
In another round of Keanya Premier League prediction, we say Gor are serial winners so another domestic crown and a return to the CAF Champions League campaign next season is their prime target.
However, we don't expect to see foreign players in Gor Mahia this season following a raft of measures by the club manager.

The club chairman, Ambrose Rachier, earlier indicated they will no longer be bringing in foreign players after an impasse with CAF that saw Gor Mahia axed from the 2023 Champions League draw.
But with the most crowns in the history of the Kenya Premier League, top players, and a cult following, Gor Mahia or Kogalo as they are popularly known are set for another showdown in the FKF Kenya Premier League 2023/24 season.
Chances are high that even with the CAF ban and a decision to exclude foreign players from their 2023/24 campaign, Gor Mahia will likely retain the KPL crown for pride and hope it earns them a CAF Champions League spot next season.
Tusker FC are upbeat to reclaim their glory in 2023/24
In another FKF Kenya Premier League prediction, we expect the Brewers to rival Gor Mahia in the race to the 2023/24 silverware.
Tusker FC have won the Kenya Premier League title 12 times.

Tusker FC won the title in the 2021/22 season. The fact that the Brewers finished second last season with 69 points, only a point behind Gor Mahia, means they are relentless and strongly in the race to write their name on the FKF Premier League history books.
Tusker won 20 matches last season, as many as Gor Mahia did, so we cannot rule them out of the title chase yet again.
The Brewers had 9 draws last season, one less than Gor Mahia and lost 5 games, one more than the 2022/23 Kenya Premier League winners.
2023/24 Kenya Premier League Prediction: Shabana FC are top 5 contenders
In the run-up to their promotion to Kenya's top flight last season, Shabana FC showed their might. Thus, it is fair play in our Kenya Premier League prediction to hand them a chance to shine in the top flight.
The Crashers or Tore Bore as they are locally known, were determined to make a strong statement. They won the National Super League with 73 points from 32 matches, 4 points ahead of Murang'a Seal.

Massive fan following has been a huge influence on Kenya's domestic league. Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards have ruled the waves for many years, thanks to millions of loyal fans who go with them everywhere.
Tusker FC which also enjoy a huge following in Central Kenya, have had huge success in recent years.
Fans will play a huge role in Shabana's 2023/24 campaign, which also informs our Kenya Premier League prediction for the club.
Shabana FC fans stuck to their club in the second tier despite the struggles they have had in recent years but a promotion to the FKF Premier League last season could see them back to the glory days in Kenya's football landscape.
Moreover, Sam Nyamweya who is the former FKF Kenya Premier League president, is the current Patron of Shabana FC. No doubt Nyamweya's experience and influence give the club some leverage ahead of the 2023/24 campaign in the top flight.
Nyamweya's influence will undoubtedly help pull resources for the club and we can expect an intimidating and filled 46,000-capacity Gusii Stadium whenever Shabana will play on their home matches.
