A Suspect in the case of Serge Aurier's murdered brother Christopher handed himself into French police last night.
The Tottenham star's brother was shot dead on Monday morning in an alleged “love dispute” and a man turned himself into cops on Tuesday evening – less than 48 hours later.
The suspect cannot be named because of French privacy laws.
But he is being held after admitting to murdering the 26-year-old, according to French outlet L'Equipe.
Christopher was reportedly shot in the stomach in Toulouse before the killer fled the scene.
And French outlet La Depeche claims the incident may have arisen because of a “love dispute”.
The shooting happened outside a nightclub in the early hours of Monday morning.
Christopher was then pronounced dead at Toulouse University hospital.
French newspaper Sud Ouest quote a police source who said the suspect turned himself in around 6pm at the central police station in Toulouse and readily admitted to the murder.
Ahead of Newcastle clash, Jose Mourinho said his main priority is to ensure Aurier is getting all the support he needs.
Christopher, brother of 62-cap Ivory Coast international Serge, played football at an amateur level.
