Leeds fans want Marcelo Bielsa to get a deal for Emmanuel Emenike

A vast majority of the Leeds fans that responded to an online poll wanted Marcelo Bielsa to target Emmanuel Emenike after the club’s new injury troubles up front.

Bielsa only has a 22-man squad at the moment and may perhaps need to look to the surplus of free-agents who are at present still available in order to provide cover.

Leeds were dealt a huge twofold injury blow when, according to the Daily Mail, Kemar Roofe was ruled out of the trip to Millwall on Saturday with new signing Patrick Bamford already out for four months with a knee ligament wound.

Welsh youngster Tyler Roberts stepped into the starting line up for the trip to the New Den and performed commendably, testing the Millwall defense with his runs in behind and work-rate.

The Nigerian international would be a top-class signing for Leeds though if Bielsa could sway the 31-year-old to join, having spent time with West Ham, Fenerbahce, Olympiacos as well as Spartak Moscow.

Emenike, who has nine goals in 37 caps for Nigeria, is known for his pace and could be the ideal fit for Bielsa’s system that requires a striker to harass defenders relentlessly.

A huge 83 percent of Leeds fans agreed and wanted the club to sign Emenike. Check out the full results of the poll here.
