Liverpool Midfielder Diogo Jota Gives Detailed Knee Injury Update

Diogo Jota suffered a setback to his scintillating start to life at Liverpool when he was ruled out for up to two months last week.

The former Wolves forward managed to avoid surgery on the problem he sustained during Liverpool's draw with Midtjylland, but must now undergo a strict rehabilitation programme to get back to full fitness.

Having played a huge part in Liverpool's opening period, the 24-year-old conceded he was finding it difficult watching from the sidelines, but is keen not to take shortcuts in order to make a swift return.

“Now I am supporting from the outside it is not easy – it’s even harder when you need to suffer as a fan and you can do literally nothing to help the team on the field!” Jota told Liverpoolfc.com.

“But I’m doing my best to be back as soon as possible.

“Things are going well but knee injuries are always complicated so we cannot rush things, but I am doing well and I will be back on the field as soon as possible.”
