Man United Player Ratings: Odion Ighalo – How Good?

Manchester United defeated Derby County 0-3 in the FA Cup fixture to progress to the quarter-finals thanks to two goals from Nigeria’s Odion Ighalo and one from Luke Shaw.

Sergio Romero

Made a superb save from Wayne Rooney's free-kick at 0-0. Kept yet another clean sheet on his cup run. 8

Diogo Dalot

Took time to get going and Bruno Fernandes was on his case at times. Settled in eventually. 6

Eric Bailly

Another classy performance alongside Victor Lindelof. Rarely looked troubled and has to be pushing for a start on Sunday. 8

Victor Lindelof

Started again with Harry Maguire out injured and reunited successfully with Bailly. A more composed performance. 7

Luke Shaw

Clumsily gave Rooney the chance to score through a free-kick but claimed the breakthrough, albeit via a Jesse Lingard deflection. 8

Scott McTominay

Got about the midfield and his energy denied Rooney the space to have any major influence. Combative throughout. 6

Fred

A fine conduit between the defence and the attack again. Should take it as a compliment Rooney hacked him down. 7

Jesse Lingard

Might have his third goal of the season after Shaw's shot deflected off him. Movement was much better in an interchanging attack. 6

Juan Mata

Dovetailed with Lingard and Fernandes throughout and got on the ball plenty of times. Had a good chance to score. 6

Bruno Fernandes

Guilty of impatience at times but his risk-taking was necessary amid Derby's first-half resistance. Taken off early. 6

Odion Ighalo

Squandered an excellent chance at 0-0 but atoned with his second goal in six appearances. Then got another in the second half. 8

Subs

Andreas Pereira

Little impact. 5

Anthony Martial
