According to reports, Manchester City may sell Gabriel Jesus to land Atletico Madrid’s £61million-rated star Rodrigo.
City are now favourites to sign Rodrigo, but Atletico are keen on having Jesus as a replacement for the departing Antoine Griezmann.
It could mean Atletico demand Jesus comes as part of any deal for their 22-year-old holding midfielder.
Man City boss Pep Guardiola is keen to sign another holding midfielder to compete with Fernandinho, who has been off with knee injury.
With Griezmann set to move to Barcelona in a £104million deal, the La Liga giants will have funds to spend and The Sun state they have identified Jesus as a perfect replacement.
In spite of playing second fiddle to Sergio Aguero in the Premier League and Champions League, the Brazilian striker scored 21 goals in the 2018/19 season.
Jesus joined City in a £27million deal from Palmeiras and has netted 45 goals in 100 appearances since making his City debut in January 2017.
