Former Manchester City and Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli has selected his ultimate XI, but Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been omitted.
When asked to name his team during a Puma Football Instagram chat with Thierry Henry, the controversial Italian picked former Inter team-mate Julio Cesar in goal.
At the back, Italy legends Alessandro Nesta and Fabio Cannavaro sit at centre-half, with Maicon and Maxwell in the full-back slots.
Andrea Pirlo is deployed in the holding midfield slot, with Man City icon Yaya Toure and Liverpool great Steven Gerrard positioned just in front of the silky Italian.
The 29-year-old has opted for Antonio Cassano at No.10, who he played alongside for Gli Azzurri.
Surprisingly, Balotelli has left himself out of the team.
Then again, it becomes a lot less surprising when taking a look at the attackers in his team – none other than Brazil hero Ronaldo and Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
Juve ace Ronaldo failed to make the cut, however, despite scoring almost double the amount of career goals as his namesake.
“Pirlo guarantees you 10 goals a year, Yaya can do it all,” Balotelli said.
