Sparks will fly as Morocco and Ghana go toe-to-toe with each other at the U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 tournament on Tuesday evening. With both teams setting their sights on all three available points, it'll be interesting to see who will emerge victorious after 90 minutes.

How Both Teams Measure Up On The Group Table
We would like to point out that Ghana kicked off their AFCON U23 campaign with a 3-2 victory over Congo, while Morocco had to come from behind to defeat Guinea by a 2-1 scoreline. At the time of writing, the Black Meteors currently lead the Group A standings with three points; they are tied on points and goal difference with today's opponents, but are ahead on total goals scored. It's worth keeping in mind that the winner of this match will almost certainly book a place in the knockout stages, especially if the other Group A match ends in a stalemate.

Prediction 1: Ghana to Win
Including their 1-0 victory over Venezuela at the Tournoi Maurice Ravello, Morocco are coming into this match on the back of two consecutive wins. However, we haven't been impressed by their run of results over the past few months. Issame Charai's boys suffered four losses in their last seven matches; they managed just three wins in their last eight games. By comparison, the Black Meteors have fared relatively better than today's opponents; as they are currently on a six-match unbeaten run, with four wins and two draws. Taking both teams' recent form into account, we are backing the Ghanaians to come out on top.
Prediction 2: Both Teams to Find the Net

In spite of Morocco's recent shortcomings, they've been consistent when it comes to scoring goals. Issame Charai's lads found the back of the net in all of their last six matches across all competitions. Conversely, Morocco have seen their defense breached in 11 of their last 10 games. It may interest you to know that both teams were on the scoresheet in four of Morocco's last six matches. Considering both teams also scored in six of Ghana's last eight games, we should expect goals at both ends.
Prediction 3: At Least Three Goals
We've already established that Ghana's opening match ended in a five-goal thriller, with both teams getting on the scoresheet at least twice. Just like Morocco, the Black Meteors have not had too much trouble when it comes to finding the net; as they scored in all of their last 16 matches. Interestingly, Ghana's last eight matches in all competitions have seen at least three goals scored per game on average. All things considered, we should expect the goals to flow in this match.
