Mourinho Drops Dele Alli From Tottenham Squad To Face Chelsea In Carabao Cup

More doubts has been cast on Dele Alli's Tottenham future as Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has omitted him from the matchday squad for tonight's Carabao Cup fourth-round tie with Chelsea, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Alli’s latest omission has furthered speculation the north Londoners are planning to offload him.

Shortly after Gareth Bale's loan move back to the club, it was reported the brass had put the England international up for sale.

French champions and last season's beaten Champions League finalists Paris Saint-Germain are understood to be interested in acquiring the 24-year-old’s services.

Mourinho first cast doubt over Alli's future at the club earlier this month by dropping him from the starting XI for their clash with Southampton, which they won 5-2.

The Portuguese was asked about the former MK Dons man's future in the post-match press conference but, as usual, kept his cards close to his chest.

“I'm not responsible for the market,” Mourinho said in his post-match press conference. “I'm not able to answer your question on that. I can only say I left eight players behind training.'
