Nigeria To Battle England For Chelsea Right-Back Derrick Abu

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the English Football Association may end up in FIFA’s court as the two nations set to return to the battlefield in the quest for the services of Chelsea defence ace Derrick Abu.

According to reports coming out of Europe, the English FA are keeping tabs on Abu with an intention of handing him a call up since NFF are yet to make an official move for the talented youngster.

The highly-rated defender has been rechristened the younger version of Liverpool ace Trent Alexander-Arnold, plays as a right-back and can also play as a right wing-back.

Abu is full of running and has all the qualities – excellent crossing ability and ball passing skills to become a top right-back in future.

During the Premier League U16 International Cup final this October, the youngster was outstanding as Chelsea U16s defeated Man City 1-0 to emerge victoriously.
