The trio of Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Samuel Chukwueze, who all featured for the Super Eagles squad at the last Africa Cup of Nation in Egypt, have been listed as Nigeria's best Europe-based players in the last six months by CIES Football Observatory.
According to Legit.ng, the Switzerland-based football research group, the players rated ply their trade in Europe's top five leagues, taking into account their performances on the pitch at both individual and collectively.
At the end of their findings, the trio of Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi, Villarreal's Samuel Chukwueze and Arsenal's Alex Iwobi emerged the highest ranked Nigerian players in ascending order.
A further breakdown of their report revealed that out of 861 players listed, Ndidi was ranked 238th with a score of 76.6, Chukwueze was 317th with 75.0 points, while Iwobi was ranked 384th with a total score of 73.6.
The pair of Udinese defender William Troost-Ekong and Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo makes up Nigeria's top five players in Europe.
Interestingly, all the players listed emerged bronze winners after Nigeria's Super Eagles claimed third at AFCON 2019 featured in all matches at the tournament except Chukwueze.

Recall that 20-year-old Samuel Chukwueze was listed among top 50 youngsters that are expected to blossom during the 2019-20 season.
