Odion Ighalo Emerges CSL Player Of The Week

Odion Jude Ighalo has been named the (Chinese Super League) CSL Player of the Week following his remarkable display in Shanghai Shenhua's 5-1 bashing of Beijing Renhe, AOIFootball.com reports.

The Super Eagles forward scored twice to help Shanghai record back to back wins for the first time this season as they moved into the top half of the table.

Ighalo’s heroics earned him the week's top rating at 9.8 after, scoring twice, completing 100% of his dribbles and also making two key passes in his side's 5-1 big win.

The former Watford of England star was also joined in the team of the week by teammates Gerard Moreno and Fredy Guarin whilst former Tottenham midfielder Moussa Dembele was also included in the team of the week.

With four goals already this season, Ighalo joins the duo of Jonathan and Eran Zahavi who have both scored four goals as the early pacesetters in the race for the golden boot.
