Odion Ighalo has been allocated a shirt number at Manchester United, according to a report.
It will be two weeks before the Nigerian can first don United jersey when the Red Devils travel to Stamford Bridge on February 17, but Ighalo has already been given his shirt number, according to All Nigeria Soccer.
The Nigeria sports news site claim Ighalo has been allotted the No 25 jersey for his six-month stay at Old Trafford.
There were only eight numbers available for the striker, with the No 25 shirt vacated by Antonio Valencia last summer.
Other numbers open for the 30-year-old were 7, 11, 12, 16, 19, 27, 28 and 30.
Although Ighalo has donned the No 25 jersey before during his spell at Granda but has sported the No 9 kit since playing in China from 2016.
In his last Premier League spell at Watford, Ighalo wore the No 24 shirt.
Nick Powell, David Jones, Danny Simpson, Quinton Fortune and Jordi Cruyff were all previous occupants of United’s No 25.
Ighalo will become the first Nigerian to play for United when he makes his debut.
