Ozil ‘Begs’ Arsenal Boss Arteta To Include Him In First-Team

Mesut Ozil has not featured this season for Arsenal as he enters the final year of his contract while the German has also rejected a move to Saudi Arabia.

The ex-Real Madrid star has implored Arteta by sending him a message on Twitter.

Arteta did not even include the midfielder in his 25-man Europa League squad.

But despite his continued absence from the first-team, Ozil had a message for Arteta on Twitter after revealing a throwback video of the two when the Spaniard just took over at Arsenal.

The German flourished in the first few matches under Arteta, where he looked like he could relaunch his career at the Emirates.

Ozil clearly sought out the tweet, which was posted on March 10, while he quote-retweeted it, captioned: “#startof2020 #throwback #M1O#YaGunnersYa.”

How this season will play out for  Ozil remains to be seen but it looks likely that he will run down his contract after turning down a move from Saudi Arabia.
