PSL fixtures this week will be the last round of matches in the 2023/24 DStv Premiership, and there's still plenty on the line.

Ahead of the PSL fixtures this week, Mamelodi Sundowns have already secured the Premier Soccer League title, and will represent the country in next season's CAF Champions League.

The battle for who joins Sundowns in the Champions League will be decided on the final day between Stellenbosch and Orlando Pirates. The team that finishes in third place will feature in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Cape Town Spurs have been relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship while Richards Bay currently occupy the relegation playoff group spot.

PSL fixtures this week: 20 May – 26 May 2024

The PSL returns first for round 30 hostilities, the very last round in the 2023/24 DStv Premiership.

With the Golden Boot winner set to be decided on the final day, the players currently vying for the gong will give it their all on the field on Saturday, May 25th.

As football enthusiasts eagerly await the action-packed matches and exciting moments that the PSL is known for this campaign, let's delve into a short preview of all the remaining fixtures.

21/05/24 | TS Galaxy v Mamelodi Sundowns – 19:30

All three points will be up for grabs when Mamelodi Sundowns make the trip to Mbombela to take on TS Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday night.

Galaxy will be aiming to do what the other PSL teams have failed to achieve this season, by trying to beat the league champions. However, we don't see the Brazilians losing this one. We say 3-0 win for Sundowns.

25/05/24 | AmaZulu v Golden Arrows – 15:00

The Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday afternoon will host an entertaining KZN derby between AmaZulu and Golden Arrows.

Both sides enter this clash on the back of unbeaten runs in their respective three games, but having beaten Arrows twice this season–first in the Carling Cup and the second in the reverse fixture–AmaZulu will look to make it a third straight victory over the visitors. We say 1-0.

25/05/24 | Mamelodi Sundowns v Cape Town City – 15:00

Champions, Mamelodi Sundowns will end their successful campaign against Cape Town City at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday afternoon.

This clash will be special in that if Sundowns doesn't lose to TS Galaxy in their rescheduled round 20 fixture, they could end the 2023/24 PSL season unbeaten with this clash.

We say Sundowns to win 3-0.

25/05/24 | Moroka Swallows v Royal AM – 15:00

All roads lead to the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto as Moroka Swallows take on Royal AM in one of the undoubtedly fixture of the last round.

Royal AM knows that a draw in Soweto will help them to remain in the league without entering the relegation playoffs whether or not Richards Bay wins against the Stellies.

With Moroka Swallows having nothing to play for, this game looks set to end in a draw.

25/05/24 | Richards Bay v Stellenbosch – 15:00

Richards Bay will host Stellenbosch at the King Zwelithini Stadium in the city of Durban in what is the most standout fixture of this round.

The hosts need all three points to stand a chance of avoiding the relegation playoffs should Royal AM lose to the Swallows. On the other hand, Stellenbosch are eager to finish the season in second place and will only achieve this if they pick all three points.

It'll be all to play for in Durban come Saturday! We say both teams to score!

25/05/24 | Cape Town Spurs v Kaizer Chiefs – 15:00

Relegated Cape Town Spurs will welcome Kaizer Chiefs to the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday afternoon.

Both sides have endured a miserable campaign in the PSL. For Chiefs, it's another season without continental ticket but they can finish in the top half of the table with a win in Cape Town.

However, Spurs are without defeat in their last three PSL games, and will love to end the season at home positively despite being relegated. Can Chiefs end their recent run of draws? We predict the encounter to end in a draw.

25/05/24 | Orlando Pirates v SuperSport United – 15:00

At the Orlando Stadium in Soweto, Orlando Pirates will seek to bounce back from consecutive defeats in the PSL if they're to book a spot in next season's CAF Champions League.

The Buccaneers will battle SuperSport United, a side that performed strongly during the first-half of the season but faltered along the way.

Jose Riveiro's men will hope to get the job done and that Stellenbosch drops valuable points in their game against Richards Bay. Otherwise, the MTN8 Champions will have to settle for the CAF Confederation Cup.

25/05/24 | Chippa United v Sekhukhune United – 15:00

Chippa United will welcome Sekhukhune United to the Buffalo City Stadium in East London in their last game of the season.

Except for bragging rights, both teams really have nothing at stake to play for, and because of this, we fancy the encounter to end in a draw.

25/05/24 | Polokwane City v TS Galaxy – 15:00

All eyes will be at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium when Polokwane tackles TS Galaxy in their last game of the 2023/24 Premier Soccer League season.

Galaxy will be eager to avoid defeat on the road, while Polokwane will want to end the campaign on a winning note. It'll be interesting to see how both teams matchup with each other when it's all said and done on Saturday.
