PSL fixtures today, 2 March 2024

Polokwane City v Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates will make the trip to Polokwane City as these teams battle for all three points at the Peter Mokaba Stadium this afternoon.

The visitors will be within touching distance from the top three if they win today. Meanwhile Polokwane can temporarily climb up to sixth with a victory at home.

It's important to mention that clashes between these teams have been high-scoring in their previous five meetings as 18 goals have been netted. Interestingly, four of those matches saw both teams score.

Match prediction: Both teams to score.

Kaizer Chiefs v Moroka Swallows

Kaizer Chiefs will host 13th placed Moroka Swallows this evening, as both teams battle it out for three valuable points in the Premier Soccer League. This clash will take place at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

After a slow start to the league this season, AmaKhosi can climb to fourth place on the league table with a win and they have form on their side to back this up having gone unbeaten in their last five PSL games (3W, 2D).

On the other hand, Swallows will aim to snap a run of six winless matches in the PSL (2D, 4L) against a Chiefs' side in a fine run of results, who have a 11-4 head to head win advantage in this fixture from previous 20 meetings.

Match prediction: Kaizer Chiefs win.

Richards Bay v Royal AM

The last kick-off today will see Richards Bay square off against Royal AM at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.

Both teams have previously met five times since 2018 with Royal AM having the head to head lead of 3 wins to 1. With just one fixture ending in stalemates between them, it's unlikely today's game will be drawn.

It's important to mention that both teams are struggling this season and are situated in the bottom three on the standings. However, the visitors (14th) are six points ahead of Richards Bay (15th), but are currently on a run of four winless games.

On the other hand, the hosts have registered two wins in their last four matches across all competitions, and could fancy their chances at taking all three points after beating Polokwane in their last outing in the Nedbank Cup.

Match prediction: Richards Bay to score.
