Real Madrid are in talks with Mauricio Pochettino and are plotting a move for Harry Kane, according to reports in Spain.
Zinedine Zidane’s second spell in charge at Real hasn’t exactly gone to plan and president Florentino Perez is contemplating pulling the trigger.
They won El Clasico earlier this month, which saw them leapfrog Barcelona at the top of La Liga.
But they’ve since slipped back down to second following a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Real Betis on Sunday.
They also lost 2-1 at home against Manchester City in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie last month.
And that’s when a secret meeting is believed to have taken place, according to El Chiringuito.
“After the sad defeat against City, emissaries of Real Madrid spoke with Pochettino and he told them: ‘I will wait for Real Madrid for as long as it takes’.” Spanish pundit Inda told El Chirinquito.
Pochettino has been out of a job since November after being sacked by Tottenham and so any club would have to pay £12million to hire him this season.
However, Inda claims Pochettino could make the Englishman his first big signing in Madrid.
He added: “Pochettino would like to have Harry Kane as a striker.”

Kane could be moving to the Bernabeu though if Pochettino takes over from Zidane.
