Real Madrid ‘Have Only £88m To Spend’ And Will Look To Sell £264m In Talent To Fund Neymar Move

Real Madrid Fund Neymar Move

Real Madrid need to offload up to £264m-worth of talent this summer to fund the signing of Neymar, according to AS.

According to the Spanish publication, Real have only £88m to use in the transfer window and will sell many players in order to entice the Brazilian to the Bernabeu.

It is understood the Spanish giants would need to produce a ridiculous financial package ‘worth £1.2million a week to prize Neymar away from Paris Saint-Germain' this summer.

The PSG forward, who left for the French capital in 2017 in a world-record £198m move, is far from settled at PSG and could be tempted by a move this summer.

As per AS, Neymar's monstrous wage demands would be fundamental to any move from the Parc des Princes to the Bernabeu with Zinedine Zidane desperate to galvanise his squad with a Galactico signing.

Latest accounts published show that Los Blancos pay an annual £247.5m on player wages following the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo.

But AS claims the club boasts more than 800 employees and the total salary paid per annum stands at closer to £380m.

As prescribed by the European Club Association (ECA ) clubs are entitled to spend up to 70% of their annual turnover on wages, and with Real paying around 57%, they are well within the limits.

With a gigantic wage bill already filling much of the club's allowance, it is acknowledged in Spanish reports that Zidane needs to shift Gareth Bale if he is to make room for a player like Neymar.
